At a glance

You do not create an account. Game progress, profiles, preferences, and records stay in the app's private storage on your device. Marble Comet Studios does not receive that save data through the game.

Information stored locally

The app may store the following information on your device:

• Companion species, name, appearance, accessories, dates, and archive state.
• Story progress, unlocks, records, achievements, cosmetics, local leaderboards, and Daily Memory history.
• Aggregate play statistics and first- and last-played dates.
• Audio, visual, control, accessibility, haptic, and other game settings.

This information supports the game's local features and is not sent to a Marble Comet Studios backend.

Advertising and tracking

The current iOS and Android public release configuration is ad-free. It contains no advertising SDK, does not initialize Google's consent platform, does not access IDFA, does not request App Tracking Transparency permission, and does not perform cross-app or cross-site tracking.

Internal developer and device-QA builds may connect to Google's official sample advertising inventory. Those test placements are clearly labelled, use sample credentials, and are not part of the public release.

Permissions

The public release may use device haptics only when enabled in your settings. It does not need access to contacts, precise location, camera, microphone, or photos. Internal sample-ad QA builds use network access; the current public release does not include advertising network permissions.

Deleting local data

Open Settings → Data → Reset all data to remove local progress and settings after confirmation. Uninstalling the app removes its local sandbox data, subject to Apple, Google, or device backup behavior outside the app's control.

Children and future changes

Memory Tails has a warm style that may appeal to a broad audience. No Kids or Families program classification is claimed here. Any future ad-enabled release would require a new audience assessment, updated disclosures, and appropriate consent choices before publication.
