Terms of Service

1. Agreement, audience and availability

These Terms govern use of Piecehaven, formerly LumaPetal Puzzle (the “App”), published by Marble Comet LLC (“Marble Comet,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms and the applicable app-store terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App. You must be legally able to accept these Terms; where local law requires parent or guardian consent, that person must review and accept them. Mandatory consumer rights remain in force.

The current Piecehaven Android release is available through Google Play, with regional availability shown by the store. The features described here concern that release and the unpublished iPhone/iPad version. iPhone and iPad have not been published and have no announced release date.

The Android release of Piecehaven is intended for adults aged 18 and older, and players under 13 may not use the App. If you are under 18, use the App only where local law permits and, where required, with a parent or guardian who reviews and accepts these Terms for you. The planned iPhone/iPad version is intended for ages 13 and older. Guest play does not require a birthday. A contextual age check can derive an age group on the device from a confirmed date, then discard the date. A known age under 13 blocks entry and advertising services. Unknown age is not adult consent. Optional Android Gameplay Analytics requires a separate choice. Eligible never-age-checked guests can opt in without becoming classified as adults; known minors and invalid age records remain excluded. Meta measurement separately requires an adult classification and opt-in. A separate optional choice can share puzzle completions with Google Ads for conversion measurement; it is off by default, requires Gameplay analytics, and is described in the Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy explains these controls.

2. Limited license

Subject to these Terms and applicable app-store rules, Marble Comet grants a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App on compatible devices you own or control. Except where law expressly permits, you may not copy, sell, rent, sublicense, redistribute, reverse engineer, interfere with security, circumvent access controls or use the App unlawfully.

3. Gameplay and local data

The update offers Classic and Timed jigsaws, Daily and Weekly play, Journeys and photo puzzles, supported by advertising. The public game is free with ads; supported Android versions offer the optional one-time Remove Ads purchase described below. Wallet-enabled versions use a separate account for earned coins and unlocked Collections. In versions with progress backup, built-in puzzle progress and saved sessions, statistics, favorites, achievements and challenge history can be backed up to Firebase under the wallet identity. Private-photo puzzles and saves, photos, collage drafts, preferences, local profile labels and age-classification records are excluded. Only changes that reached the server can be restored. There is no public leaderboard.

Coins are earned through qualifying play and can unlock Collections. They have no cash value, cannot be bought with real money, and cannot be transferred or redeemed. Pending offline claims are not spendable until confirmed. Ordinary play does not require an email login. If its protected recovery credential remains available after reinstalling on the same device, a wallet can recover its confirmed coins, collection ownership and backed-up built-in progress. Recovery is not guaranteed. Existing linked accounts remain linked, and restoring another account does not merge balances. Settings > Privacy & data > Delete game data removes the cloud identity, wallet, progress backups and recovery credentials while online. After server confirmation, local non-photo progress is cleared; photo puzzles and saves must be deleted separately in Create. Uninstalling or signing out does not request cloud deletion.

Features, content, ads and compatibility may change, be interrupted or be discontinued. Updates may be required. Ordinary Android app-data backup and transfer are disabled. Separately, the recovery credential uses Google Play services Block Store with cloud backup disabled; platform device-to-device credential transfer may be available. On iPhone and iPad, the credential uses Keychain with ThisDeviceOnly protection and does not migrate through a backup. Apple backups and app offloading are separate system features. Clearing storage, uninstalling or device failure can remove local data; credential availability and platform settings determine whether recovery succeeds. Photos are not included in Piecehaven progress backups.

4. Selected photos and sharing

You retain ownership of imported photos and confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed to use and intentionally share them. Do not use unlawful, infringing, abusive, exploitative or privacy-violating content.

Piecehaven stores a cropped, re-encoded puzzle copy in private app storage and does not upload selected photos to Marble Comet or its advertising services. Sharing through the system share sheet is optional and can include a generated result card and public product-page link. The destination may accept only part of the share and applies its own terms and privacy policy. Deleting an app-held copy does not delete the original, recall a shared copy or remove an older device backup.

5. Ads and optional rewards

In Android build 197 and later, eligible players without an active Remove Ads purchase may see a labeled banner from their first puzzle, in the gameplay footer or side panel, and a banner after collection-browsing content. A preloaded full-screen ad may appear when you explicitly resume a saved puzzle, confirm an eligible restart, or finish a qualifying puzzle, including the first completion after its celebration and before the reward screen. Starting a new puzzle (including Create & play) can show one only after a previous win; the initial Start before the first win does not. A completion that requests reminder permission skips the completion ad. Earlier Android builds and iOS build 152 retain their version-specific placements; these new Android placements do not describe build 152. These ads share a minimum three-minute gap and limits of six per session and twelve per local day; a new session begins after the App has been in the background or closed for at least 30 minutes. No unsolicited full-screen ad interrupts an active solve or Replay. If an ad is unavailable, the App continues without waiting for it or scheduling it to appear later.

Optional rewarded ads grant only the benefit described before you choose them. After the installation’s three free Classic hints have been used, an earned ad can give one bonus Classic hint. In supported Android versions, the reference guide has its own three free openings per installation; after those, an earned ad unlocks one more opening. Active Remove Ads purchasers have unlimited Reference openings and Classic hints, and available past Daily puzzles open without a video. Older versions may count committed reference changes. Other clearly labeled choices may unlock an eligible cosmetic background, a saved assembly replay or a missed Daily puzzle. Coin videos are credited only after the server verifies the reward: your coins can offer a 10-coin video, up to 3 per UTC day; the Daily gift can offer a video that adds 20 coins to that day’s 10-coin gift, once per UTC day; and after the server accepts a completed puzzle, you may choose a video bonus equal to that puzzle’s base coins, once per completed puzzle, within 60 minutes and up to 5 times per UTC day. First-time artwork and collection bonuses are not doubled. In Android build 197 and later, the welcome starter can also offer this optional completion video bonus after the server accepts its completion. Earlier Android builds and iOS build 152 do not offer the starter video bonus. Collecting the ordinary completion reward does not require watching a video. The Daily gift video and the video bonus do not count toward the 3 coin-video rewards, and these offers may change or be withdrawn. Timed does not offer hints or a reference guide. The ad provider must report an earned reward; merely closing an ad is not enough. Cosmetic backgrounds remain local and may be lost when app data is removed. If an earned background cannot be saved, retry saving while the app still holds that credit; another ad is not needed for that retry. Ad availability is not guaranteed, and an unavailable reward does not block ordinary free gameplay.

Cosmetic rewards are stored locally, are not synced by Piecehaven, and may be lost when app data is removed. They are not purchases or subscriptions. If an earned background cannot be saved, a save retry is available without another ad while the credit remains in the current app process. Advertising is subject to eligibility, regional privacy choices, available inventory and provider rules. See the Privacy Policy for data processing and consent controls.

5A. Purchases and reference openings — Android

The purchase and reference-opening rules below apply to supported Android versions. Update through Google Play to see available features. Earlier installed versions may differ. The iPhone and iPad app has not been published, and these Google Play purchases do not apply to it.

A one-time, non-subscription Remove Ads purchase is available in supported Android versions. The US base price is $4.99; Google Play displays the applicable local price and purchase terms before confirmation. A verified active purchase removes banners and automatic full-screen interstitial ads, including puzzle starts and restarts, and gives unlimited Reference openings and Classic hints. Available past Daily puzzles also open without a video while access is active. Using a hint still counts in puzzle statistics. Optional reward videos remain available for their stated benefits, including coin and Daily gift bonuses. It does not grant coins, unlock coin-priced Collections or change Timed mode, and it does not transfer to iPhone or iPad. Google Play may also report attributed purchases and their value to our linked Google Ads account to measure advertising performance. This store-provided reporting is separate from optional in-app Gameplay Analytics.

Use Restore with the Google Play account that owns the purchase. Benefits begin only after verification; a new purchase that is pending or fails does not grant benefits. If Play reports an existing purchase, restore or retry the verification instead of buying again. A refund by itself may leave access in place; confirmed revocation or removal of the entitlement removes paid benefits. Store and server updates can take time. Contact billing@marblecomet.com if access does not match the store result.

In supported Android versions, Classic has three free Reference openings per installation, separate from the three free hints. Opening the control uses one allowance: adjust visibility as often as you like while the control stays open and it counts as one opening; close it and open it again to use the next allowance. Existing remaining free uses are preserved when updating. After the free openings, an earned video unlocks one more opening. Hiding the guide stays free; rotation or brief backgrounding does not consume another use while the same panel stays open. A verified active Remove Ads purchase gives unlimited openings and Classic hints. Starting another puzzle or changing accounts does not refill free allowances. The separate full-picture preview remains free in Classic. Timed has no reference guide or hints. Earlier versions may count committed reference changes instead of openings.

For versions with the purchase feature, deleting game data removes the guest account’s purchase associations. Separate purchase records, purchase tokens, token/account fingerprints, entitlement and reconciliation records, and deletion markers are retained for restoration, reconciliation and fraud prevention. The retained purchase ledger and account-deletion markers have no configured automatic expiry. Separate notification-processing records support deduplication and reconciliation; we do not promise their deletion at a fixed interval. Deletion is not a refund, does not revoke the Google Play purchase and does not erase Google’s transaction records. 6. Acceptable use and intellectual property

Do not tamper with scores, timers, advertising, rewards, content manifests or security controls; submit fabricated or automated results; introduce malicious code or abusive traffic; impersonate others; interfere with a service; or violate intellectual-property, privacy or publicity rights.

The App, branding, software, original artwork and sound are protected by applicable intellectual-property rights. Open-access and third-party materials remain subject to their licenses and attribution records. App stores, Google advertising services, optional Android analytics, mail apps, device backups, sharing destinations and external websites have separate terms and availability.

7. Feedback and ending use

Support requests, feedback and ratings are optional. Unless separately agreed, Marble Comet may use feedback to improve the App without an obligation to adopt it or compensate the sender. Opening an email interface does not send a message automatically.

Marble Comet may limit or end access for serious misuse, fraud, security risk, legal requirements or material breach, subject to law. You may stop using and uninstall the App at any time, bearing in mind the local-data limits above.

8. Warranties and liability

The App is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis and may contain defects or interrupted services. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Marble Comet disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Marble Comet is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive losses arising from use of or inability to use the App. This does not exclude any right, warranty, liability or remedy that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.

9. Governing rules and changes

Applicable law governs these Terms. Mandatory consumer protections in your place of residence continue to apply. You may contact Marble Comet first to try to resolve a dispute informally; an unresolved matter may be brought before a court with jurisdiction. Material changes receive an updated effective date and, when appropriate, an in-app notice.
